3 Mobile UK unveils Mi-fi mobile broadband plans

More details have come out regarding the launch of 3 Mobile’s new mobile broadband device ‘Mi-fi’. This 3G mobile broadband enabled wi-fi router will hit the market, via telesales, on 17th September. 3 Mobile UK stores will launch the sales the very next day. To get Three Mobile’s ‘Mi-fi’ device, you need to take a mobile broadband package from the mobile ISP.

3 Mobile broadband provider unveiled plans to launch its wi-fi based mobile broadband service earlier this month. SIM based Mi-fi is compact and runs on batteries and does not need cables or installation software. Just switch on the modem and connect multiple laptops and handsets wirelessly to this device to access 3 Mobile broadband service.

New plans for users of this wi-fi device are as follows:

  1. 5GB monthly download plan with one month contract costing £15 a month. Wireless modem would cost £69.99.
  2. Pay As You Go broadband option which allows you to take the wireless modem with 3 Mobile broadband service for one-off cost of £99.99. You get data usage of 3GB that can be used over 3 months period. Top-up usage is available after that period.
