BE Value, one of the cheapest broadband deals from BE, is to become a capped service from July 2010.
The previous, half-price offer on this package came to end on 31st December 2009. The new offer will replace it with changes in both price and download limit.
BE Value will continue to offer 8Mbps downloads speeds and 1.3Mbps upload speeds, however, the plan would offer generous monthly usage allowance of 40GB as against unlimited usage comparing to the previous deal.
However, the promotional offer would allow new customers to make unlimited dowloads till the end of June 2010,
Monthly price will be £7.50 on a 12 month contract, which certainly makes it very attractive to the switchers and new broadband users. With BE Value, you also get free connection, BE Box ADSL 2+ enabled wireless router and award winning, free 24/7 customer service.
Tom Williams, Head of Operations at BE, said:
“The trends we’re seeing are for no traffic management allowing more freedom and of course lower prices. Our members demand the freedom to prioritise and think for themselves, not have their broadband provider do it for them.”
“We believe there a lot of customers that will leap at the chance to get a service that doesn’t slow down based on the content of their downloads but don’t use the internet enough to justify an unlimited product.”
