The deal will cost £6.99 per month after the sixth month.

TalkTalk Essentials comes with 24Mbps download speed, 40GB monthly download limit, free wireless ‘G’ router and free technical & customer support.

The phone bundle also allows to make unlimited calls to UK landlines, on evening and weekends.

TalkTalk Plus, the unlimited broadband package, however, will provide free connection to save £29.99. Plus offers free wireless N router and anytime calls to UK landlines & cheaper calls to UK mobiles for a monthly price of £14.99 on a 18 month contract.

However, all Talk Talk customers will pay £12.04 per month as line rental charges from October as the ISP has recently announced that its line rental goes up by 55p a month and daytime call charges by 60p a minute.

The ISP has also increased various call rates with daytime call charges is to be hiked from 5.8p a minute to 6.4p a minute. Call rates for TalkTalk Mobile Extra subscribers will also see a three-fold rise from 45p to £1.46.

Talk Talk had to hike the cost of its landline services to match the prices set up by the market leader, BT, which announced similar price rise in July, the ISP said. However, the company still offers “the best value home phone and broadband services” a spokeswoman for TalkTalk said.

Standard international call charges will also see price changes while Talk Talk customers who move their existing phone connection to new location, will have to pay a fee of £49.99, up by £20. If payments are made after the due date, the one-off fee, which is currently £7.50, will be £10 from October.

BT has earlier announced that its phone line rental fee and the daytime calls would increase by 50p to £12.04 and 6.4p a minute respectively from October.

In June, TalkTalk increased the call rate for the daytime calls (7am-7pm) to 5.8p from 4.6p per minute and the recent revision of prices indicates a 40% increase in just four months.

Announcing its first Quarterly results which showed a net addition of 34,000 customers for the three month period up to 30 June 2010, the second largest broadband provider in UK, Talk Talk has confirmed its deal with mobile operator, Vodafone to offer its own voice and mobile broadband services from this autumn.

Talk Talk customers will get the new services which will use Vodafone’s mobile networks under the mobile virtual network operation (MVNO) agreement reached between the two ISPs. The MVNO deal could help TalkTalk retain its existing fixed line phone and broadband customers in competitive market, however, new revenues can be limited, some analysts feel.

Yesterday, Talk Talk has reported that its broadband base has exceeded 4.23m which compares to BT’s 5.2m and cable giant, Virgin Media’s 4.21m figures. In Q4 2009, the ISP showed better growth figure, adding more than 42,000 customers.

Despite the slightly slower customer growth in Q1, Talk Talk said this was very solid performance. “We maintained our momentum in the broadband market, as our brand and tariffs continued to appeal to customers seeking straight-forward, value-for-money broadband and voice services.” TalkTalk’s Chairman, Charles Dunstone said.

TalkTalk has unbundled over 1,748 exchanges which can deliver broadband and phone services at competitive prices to more than three-fourths (80%) of UK homes. Currently, 77% of its customers are connected by its unbundled network (LLU) which can deliver faster speeds of up to 24Mbps, the company said.

“The progress made is best demonstrated by ending the quarter with 77% of our broadband base unbundled onto our Next Generation Network.” TalkTalk Chief added.

The average revenue per user (ARPU) rose marginally from £23.30 in 2009 to £23.90 in Q1 2010, while the total revenues were up by 31% to reach £444m.

Meanwhile, leading digital TV operator and the fourth largest UK ISP, BSkyB also released its quarterly report which showed its broadband base has grown to reach 2.6m, adding 119,000 customers in the recent quarter, which compares to 101,000 net additions made in the previous quarter.

---Broadband ISP, TalkTalk announce its plans to test two new wireless routers on its networks.

TalkTalk is planning to test two,new wireless routers on its networks. Ex-Tiscali customers can get the new Huawei HG521 or the Huawei HG532 wireless router FREE, if they agree to provide comprehensive and regular feedback to the ISP during the trial.

The trials will have a maximum 200 users who need to send the data to Talk Talk Labs team via the feedback system, the provider said in a statement.

Users can switch to their existing routers, if they have any connectivity problems with new routers, the ISP has advised.

Recently, Talk Talk reported that many wireless broadband users still use outdated wireless routers and are vulnerable to hacking or other security issues. Moreover, their wi-fi connections can be hacked by offenders to illegally download copy right materials from internet, the ISP warned.

In its blog, the provider has suggested that customers should replace their old wirless equipment like wireless routers and wi-fi cards with new latest hardware to ensure better online safety.

Broadband and phone bundle provider Talk Talk has made 42,000 net additions to its broadband customer base in Q4 2009, according to its fourth quarter 2009 financial results.

Total subscribers stood at 4.197m by the end of fourth quarter, while its customers on its LLU network were estimated to be over 3.11 million.

The ISP has actually added 6000 more customers in the recent quarter comparing to the previous last three months (Q3 2009). During Q3, around 36,000 new customer signed up for TalkTalk products.

Talk Talk currently offers three month free broadband to its new Essentials customers. The package offers 24Mbps speed, 40GB monthly downloads, free wireless router and evening & weekend calls for just £6.99 per month on a 18 month contract.

TalkTalk has the largest LLU network with more than 80% coverage. Around 1,748 local exchanges have been unbundled by the provider so far, connecting nearly three-fourths of its customers (80%). The ISP wants to extend the coverage to 90% by unbundling 300 exchanges this year.

Talk Talk split from its parent company Carphone Warehouse in March to become standalone telecom firm. In last July, the group acquired Italian based ISP Tiscali UK with its Tiscali TV division. However, Tiscali TV and the very brand vanished from UK market after the merger was completed this year.

The company is now planning to enter mobile voice and data services which will be bunlded with its broadband packages, it was reported.

Along with, Talk Talk is already on its way to launch Project Canvas, a joint venture TV product with Channel 4, in 2011. Meanwhile, the ISP has signed 3 years deal with ITV to extend its sponsorship of the popular show ‘The X Factor’.
