Eclipse broadband increase data usage allowance
Eclipse Internet has increased the monthly usage limits of its Home and Business broadband packages. The changes will immediately apply to both new and existing customers of the ISP.
Broadband provider Eclipse, offers three plans for home users – Home Lite, Home Select and Home Pro. Eclipse offers 24Mbps speeds to its subscribers who are on its LLU network or BT’s ADSL 2+ lines. All packages are subject to a 24 month contract.
However, the customers of Home Lite have little to rejoice over, as the latest changes will benefit only the customers of other two deals – Select and Pro.
Monthly usage limit for Home Lite remains 2GB while the price cut is also marginal – from £12.21 to £11.95.
By comparison, the download allowance for Home Select has been increased from 10GB to 50GB while monthly cost goes down to £19.95. Home Pro package, which comes with a free wireless router, will now offer huge 100GB per month (previously 50GB) for £29.95 per month.
New Eclipse business packages will also benefit the susbcribers. Home Office plan will come with 10GB usage per month, while the download allowances for Business bronze and Business Gold have been increased to 50GB and 100GB respectively.
Clodagh Murphy, director of Eclipse Internet commented that the award winning ISP will continue to cater ‘the changing needs of our customers, be that higher usage, backup and hosting services or e-commerce.’
