Fibrestream launch fibre Optic broadband for Yorkshire lifeboat crew

Fibrestream, fibre line broadband ISP will bring high-speed broadband service to Humber lifeboat crew members in Yorkashire, it was reported. More than 22 residents of this rural area will get cable based broadband connection (fibre optic) after the successful completion.

Yorkshire Post reports that the provider will start laying down the infrastructure for the roll out soon. People in this area have no access to broadband except slow dial-up connection.

Guy Jarvis, Fibrestream said to Yorkshire Post:

“We’re saying that we can provide next-generation internet access to the most remote rural location in Yorkshire, so we can provide a broadband service to other locations which are less remote. We’re proving a point.”

Taking fibre optic broadband to rural areas is certainly a good news for the people who live in these areas. Just a week ago, Fibrestream announced the launch of its 100Mbps fibre optic broadband (FTTH) deployment in Hull area to provide super-fast broadband to the residents living in the Great Thornton Street Estate.

Fibrestream also said that it would expand its fibre broadband network (FiWI) to other areas beyond Hull.
