One third UK employess access personal emails at work

Free email service provider, GMX released the latest research data that shows many UK workers use private email at work just to relieve themselves from stress of work. The study also revealed UK employees use two personal email accounts on average and they update the inboxes frequently – two or three times a day.

Eva Heil, managing director, GMX, said:
“Many employers dislike staff accessing private email at work as this is often viewed as merely time wasted.”

“However, the study suggests such email is a valued way for workers to relieve the negative effects of work such as stress or nerves.”

The survey showed that nearly one-thirds (33%) access their personal email accounts during working hours and more than half of them (54%) find the managing of their personal emails more difficult than managing office emails.
