Average UK mobile broadband speeds less than 4Mbps

Average mobile broadband speeds that users receive in the UK are less than 4Mbps, the latest mobile internet survey has revealed.

According to the speed survey conducted by Top10 comparison site during the last three months, mobile broadband customers in Peterborough enjoys the top download speeds around 3.86Mbps.

Many important towns including Nottingham, Glasgow, Oxford, London (2.60Mbps), Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and Cardiff receive average downloads speeds between 2 and 3Mbps, the report shows.

Users in Milton Keynes could get speeds of around just 1.73Mbps via mobile internet, the study has found.

The survey results were based on more than 7,000 speed tests conducted during the first three months of this year.
