Nokia launch Booklet 3G netbook for mobile broadband users

Nokia, the mobile phone maker, would launch a new netbook, ‘Booklet 3G’ targeting mobile broadband users.

Branded as a ‘mini-laptop’ by Nokia, Booklet 3G has Intel Atom processor, weighs just 1.25 kg (dimensions: 10 inches wide and 2cm thick) and will use Windows Operating system.

Nokia claims its new laptop will run 12 hours between charges. Booklet 3G has another innovative feature – it comes with built-in satellite navigation (A-GPS) capabilities.

Nokia’s new netbook would attract many mobile broadband users with its 3G mobile broadband or HSPA compatibility and built-in wi-fi & Bluetooth features.

Kai Oistamo, Nokia’s Executive Vice President said:

“We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us.”

More details on the new product will be announced in the first week of next month such as price and availiability of this mini-laptop.
