BT offers free Smart Hub router with Infinity fibre broadband

BT Smart Hub The BT Smart Hub, the new successor to the Home Hub 5 wireless router is now available with Infinity fibre broadband packages.

Unveiled as the router with UK’s most powerful WiFi signal, Smart Hub (Home Hub 6) is packed with some unique features like 7 built-in antennae, filters and Smart Scan technology.

Designed for homes that use BT fibre broadband, the new equipment, according to BT, would help users access superfast speeds in more places around the home via reliable and stable WiFi connection.

BT says ‘ BT Smart Hub gives you faster wi-fi connections in more rooms than any of the latest hubs from other major UK broadband providers’.

The wireless range is so much enhanced with this advanced router that anyone can connect to home WiFi on his laptop, even when he/she is 500m away from the Smart Hub.

To minimize dropouts and improve Wi-Fi quality, BT makes use of filters and Smart Scan technology, which allow the Smart Hub block the wireless interference by other electronic devices and use the right WiFi channel for better performance.

BT has announced the price details of Smart Hub. New Infinity (both 1 and 2) fibre broadband packages include free Smart Hub, while it will cost £50 for other BT customers. The device will be free for customers who upgrade their plans to fibre.
