BSkyB to launch Anytime Plus VOD service for broadband customers

Sky Anytime Plus, a new video on demand service (VOD) will soon be available for Sky customers.

According to BSkyB, Sky broadband customers with Sky HD can access scores of TV channels and movies via their Sky+ HD set top box without paying anything additionally.

Sky already offers similar service, Sky Anytime to its satellite TV customers. However, the new product will offer more hours of entertainment and unlimited choices of on demand video content through a broadband internet connection.

Initially, Sky Anytime+ will be available only for Sky broadband customers, however, the ISP hopes to extend it to other customers in the future, according to Kathryn Downward, the Head of Sky’s TV Services, who spoke to Pocket-lint.

The digital TV operator has now more than 2.5 million broadband customers while adding more than 428,000 TV subscribers in the last year.

The bundle provider has recently refreshed its broadband offerings with speeds of its FREE broadband service for its TV customers increased to 20Mbps.
