Sky offers six month free broadband and upgrades speeds to 20Mbps
BSkyB which offers broadband service only to its Digital TV customers has made some major announcements recently.
There is 6 month free broadband offer launched for the new customers who take its Unlimited broadband with Sky TV and Sky Talk call plan as a bundle. This special offer is available till 31st May 2010.
From 1st June, 2010, all Sky broadband users will also get higher speeds of up to 20Mbps , while the monthly price of Sky Unlimited deal will be cut down from £10 to £7.50, according to the details revealed by the provider.
The existing Sky Everyday deal which offers 10Mbps will be taken away and there will be only two broadband options, Sky Unlimited and Sky Everyday Lite, both offering faster speeds (20Mbps).
Sky broadband is currently available only to the existing Sky TV customers or new customers who bundle it with Sky TV and Sky Talk plans. The new package, Sky Everyday Lite will offer 2GB monthly usage allowance and will be free for Sky TV customers with a Sky Talk call plan.
Sky’s top-end package, ‘Unlimited’ comes with 20Mbps speed, no usage caps and a fair usage policy.
