Broadband provider TalkTalk has just announced its Q3 results. The biggest rival to BT in fixed line broadband market in UK, has 4.16m broadband connections now, adding 36,000 new subscribers in the previous quarter (Q2 2009).
During Q1 2009, TalkTalk group has managed to add just 15,000 subscribers.
Meanwhile, the total revenues jumped from £347m to £446m during the last 12 months, showing an annual growth of 29%.
Charles Dunstone, the Chief Executive of Carphone Warehouse commented:
“TalkTalk Group’s brand profile, value for money proposition, and customer service have continued to generate real momentum in the market, attracting 36,000 net new broadband customers during the quarter and taking the base to 4.15m. We are now confident that our base at the end of the current financial year will be towards the top of our existing 4.1m to 4.2m guidance range. The Tiscali integration remains well on track to create a highly efficient platform for providing our customers with excellent value and service.”
TalkTalk, is the part of Carphone Warehouse which acquired Tiscali broadband (the brand is no more now) for £236m last year.
