Spotify UK to launch new mobile app, eyes iPhone users

Spotify UK, will roll out its mobile application soon, the BBC reported today. The UK music streaming company has applied for approval from Apple’s iTunes App Store.

New Spotify service will allow to search, download music on iPhones and also play from playlists. It is likely that the customers who have subscribed to premium accounts (£9.99 a month) will get this service.

Spotify music streaming service is currently available in the UK and in Europe. There are more than one million Spotify customers in the UK.

Spotify had earlier showed a demo of this kind of application for mobiles that use android mobile OS (google), however, it did not reach the users.
