Virgin Media launches 9 month student broadband

Students who are looking for money saving broadband options, can sign up for Virgin Media’s new broadband package on a 9 month contract.

University students with NUS card can take advantage of the short contract option on a range of broadband and phone packages offered by the cable ISP.

This is an exclusive offer for students and expires on 31st October . The internet service provider has also waived the £20 activation fee for its students customers.

Further, students with NUS cards, will also get 15% discount when they add Virgin Mobile services including mobile broadband.

The cable broadband provider offers £10 discount for the first 2 months on its high speed XL broadband deals. Virgin Media ‘XL’ broadband which offers 20Mbps and unlimited monthly usage allowance will cost £20 a month for first two months and £30 after that.

When Virgin phone is added for £11.99 a month, the XL package will include unlimited weekend and evening home phone calls and will cost just £10 a month for first 2 months and £20 a month, after that.

Alternatively, students can also choose the ‘L’ package which provides 10Mbps download speed and unlimited download limit for just £20 per month.
