If you’re signing up for full fibre broadband from YouFibre, Zzoomm or BeFibre, there’s good news — you’ll now get a Wi-Fi 7 router as standard, no matter which broadband plan you choose.
Until recently, this latest Wi-Fi technology was mostly reserved for people on the fastest and most expensive packages. Now, it’s becoming the default for all new customers with these three providers — even on entry-level plans.
This means better in-home Wi-Fi performance without needing to upgrade your router separately or spend extra.
YouFibre Now Gives Wi-Fi 7 on Every Plan
YouFibre has updated its equipment for all customers. Whether you go for the You 150, You 500, You 1000, You 2000, or You 8000 plan, you’ll now receive a Wi-Fi 7 router as part of the package — no extra charge.
There are two different router models depending on the plan:
YouFibre Hub is given with 150, 500 and 1000 Mbps plans. This router supports dual or tri-band Wi-Fi 7 depending on the configuration. It has:
- One 2.5Gb Ethernet port for the internet connection (WAN)
- One 2.5Gb Ethernet port for wired devices
- Up to three regular 1Gb Ethernet ports
- A USB port
- A phone port for YouFibre’s optional phone service
YouFibre Hub Pro is supplied with the 2Gbps and 8Gbps plans. It has more power and faster ports, including:
- One 10Gb Ethernet port for the internet
- One 10Gb Ethernet port for a fast wired device
- Four 1Gb Ethernet ports for other wired devices
- USB port and phone port
- Full support for Wi-Fi 7’s new 6GHz band
YouFibre has also upgraded its YouMesh Wi-Fi boosters to work with Wi-Fi 7. These can be added to create strong Wi-Fi throughout your home.
BeFibre and Zzoomm Also Now Include Wi-Fi 7 on All Plans
Zzoomm and BeFibre — which are part of the same broadband group — now offer Wi-Fi 7 routers with every plan as well.
BeFibre has confirmed that it’s using hardware from a brand called Heights Telecom, specifically from their HT-6766 series. There are two versions of this router:
HT-6766BE (Dual-band Wi-Fi 7)
- Works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands
- Has a 2.5Gb internet port, one 2.5Gb LAN port, three 1Gb LAN ports, USB 3.1 and a phone port
HT-6766BEM (Tri-band Wi-Fi 7)
- Adds the 6GHz band for faster and less congested connections
- Has a 10Gb internet port, one 10Gb LAN port, three 1Gb LAN ports, USB 3.1 and a phone port
These routers are capable of handling very fast fibre connections and a large number of devices at the same time. BeFibre hasn’t said which version they give with which plan, but all new customers now get one of them. Zzoomm is expected to be using the same router, although it hasn’t confirmed the exact model.
New Zzoomm and BeFibre customers get discount
Zzoomm has recently reduced the price of some of its broadband plans for new signups:
- The 200Mbps and 500Mbps plans are now £2 cheaper each month
- The 1000Mbps plan is £3 less
- The 2300Mbps plan is now £6 cheaper per month
BeFibre has matched these new prices. The cost after your contract ends stays the same as before — the changes only apply to new minimum-term contracts.
Where These Providers Are Available
Together, Zzoomm, BeFibre and their wholesale network FullFibre Ltd currently cover around 600,000 homes and premises. They’re active in over 100 smaller towns and semi-rural areas in England, focusing on locations that previously didn’t have access to fast full fibre broadband.
Other UK Providers That Offer Wi-Fi 7 Routers
While YouFibre, BeFibre and Zzoomm now include Wi-Fi 7 on every plan, other providers have also started offering Wi-Fi 7 — though often only with higher-end packages.

What Makes Wi-Fi 7 Different?
Wi-Fi 7 is the newest version of Wi-Fi and it’s designed to work especially well with fast fibre broadband. Here’s how it improves things:
- More Bandwidth (320MHz): Wi-Fi 7 doubles the channel width compared to Wi-Fi 6E, giving faster speeds if you have compatible devices.
- Multi-Link Operation (MLO): Your devices can connect on more than one frequency at the same time. This helps avoid interference and keeps things smooth, even with lots of devices connected.
- 4K-QAM Modulation: This tech lets the router send more data in the same amount of time, which increases speed when signal quality is good.
In simple terms, Wi-Fi 7 gives you:
- Faster speeds, even over Wi-Fi
- Less lag for things like video calls and online gaming
- Better performance when lots of devices are using the internet at the same time
- Access to the 6GHz band (if your devices support it), which has less interference than older Wi-Fi bands
Who’s Leading with Wi-Fi 7?
YouFibre, BeFibre and Zzoomm have now made Wi-Fi 7 standard on all broadband plans. This includes entry-level plans like 150Mbps and 200Mbps — something other providers aren’t doing yet. Meanwhile, brands like EE, Vodafone and Sky offer Wi-Fi 7 with selected faster packages. Others, like Virgin Media and TalkTalk, still use Wi-Fi 6 for now.
This move from the altnets (alternative network providers) brings better in-home performance for customers — whether you’re working from home, gaming, or streaming in 4K across multiple devices.
With Wi-Fi 7 now included by default, you no longer need to spend extra on third-party routers to get the best from your fibre connection. Everything is included — and ready for the future.
