Sky Broadband Packages – Prices and Bundled TV Deals
Quick summary

Sky is best known for TV, but its broadband is just as big a player. Sky broadband deals come with speeds from standard fibre up to full fibre gigabit.
Prices are competitive with BT and usually cheaper if you bundle broadband with Sky TV. The routers are strong, Wi-Fi coverage is solid, and there’s an option for a mesh system.
Customer service is decent, though not the very best — Sky ranks just above average in Ofcom’s 2025 report.

What Sky offers in 2025
Sky broadband comes in two main forms:
- Superfast (FTTC) – average 61Mb. Uses part-fibre, part copper. Still widely available.
- Full Fibre (FTTP) – speeds from 145Mb to 900Mb. Coverage is growing quickly as Openreach expands.
Every package comes with unlimited data. You can add Sky TV or Sky Talk (phone line) if you want a bundle, but broadband-only is also available.
Sky broadband plans
- Superfast 61Mb – good for small households, HD streaming and browsing.
- Ultrafast 145Mb – suits families with multiple devices.
- Ultrafast Plus 500Mb – great for larger homes and 4K streaming.
- Gigafast 900Mb – gigabit speeds, ideal for heavy use, gamers and smart homes.
Sky keeps it simple: four tiers, each on a 24-month contract.
Prices
Sky sits in the middle of the market. It’s usually cheaper than BT for similar speeds, but more expensive than Vodafone or Plusnet.
- Superfast: around £27 per month.
- Ultrafast 145Mb: around £32 per month.
- Ultrafast Plus 500Mb: around £38 per month.
- Gigafast 900Mb: around £43 per month.
Setup is normally free. Sky often runs offers with reward cards or bill credit. Bundling with Sky TV can bring discounts.
Annual price rises apply in April, tied to inflation (CPI + 3.9%).
The Sky Broadband Hub
All plans come with the Sky Broadband Hub router.
Specs:
- Dual-band Wi-Fi 5
- 8 internal antennas
- 4 gigabit ethernet ports
- WPA2 security
- Supports Sky Broadband Boost add-on (mesh pods)
Performance is solid — better range than Plusnet’s Hub Two and reliable in most homes. It’s not Wi-Fi 6, but the hardware is robust and Sky’s optional mesh pods cover larger properties.
If you’re on one of Sky’s faster full fibre packages, you’ll get the Sky Max Hub instead. This one is WiFi 6 enabled, so it can deliver higher speeds and cope better with multiple devices running at the same time.
It also comes with some smarter features built in — like automatic scanning to spot and fix problems on the network before you notice them.
The Max Hub is designed for bigger, more connected homes, supporting up to 120 devices with stronger signal coverage thanks to its upgraded antenna design.
Installation and setup
Switching is simple if you’re already with an Openreach provider. Most installs are done remotely, with no engineer visit.
For full fibre, an engineer will install an ONT box if you don’t already have one. Appointments usually take two hours.
Activation is normally within 10 working days.
Speeds and performance
Sky’s advertised speeds are realistic. Ofcom’s 2025 report shows:
- Sky customers on Superfast average 59Mb (close to the 61Mb claim).
- Ultrafast packages hit advertised speeds for most users at peak times.
- Reliability is above average, with fewer outages than TalkTalk or Vodafone.
Sky also offers a speed guarantee — if your connection regularly falls below the minimum, you can leave without penalty.
Reliability
Sky scores well for reliability.
- Ofcom’s Q1 2025 figures show only 13 complaints per 100,000 customers (slightly better than the industry average of 16).
- Faults are fixed within 2 days on average.
- Customer satisfaction sits at 86%, compared to an industry average of 82%.
Not the very best — EE and Plusnet score higher — but Sky is comfortably above average.
Wi-Fi coverage
The Sky Hub alone is fine for most homes. If you need more, Sky offers Broadband Boost, which includes Wi-Fi guarantee and mesh pods.
That puts Sky ahead of providers like Plusnet, which don’t offer any mesh system or guarantee.
Sky Broadband and TV deals
You can bundle Sky broadband with Sky TV for a single monthly price. Bundles are usually cheaper than taking services separately.
- Superfast + Sky Stream – around £40/month. Includes broadband at 61Mb and Sky Entertainment pack with Netflix.
- Ultrafast 145Mb + Sky Stream – around £45/month. Good for families with multiple devices and 4K streaming.
- Gigafast 900Mb + Sky Stream – around £55/month. Best for large homes, gamers and 4K/8K content.
Contract length: 18 months for Sky TV, 24 months for broadband.
Hardware included:
- Sky Hub router – dual-band Wi-Fi 5, 8 antennas, 4 gigabit ports.
- Sky Stream box – UHD support, voice control, Netflix built in.
Extras you can add:
- Sky Sports or Sky Cinema packs.
- Whole Home Wi-Fi guarantee (mesh pods).
- Additional Sky Stream boxes (£12/month each) for multiroom.
Sky Glass TV deals
Sky Glass is Sky’s own smart TV with everything built in — no box, no dish. It comes in 43″, 55″ and 65″ sizes.
Specs:
- 4K Ultra HD Quantum Dot display.
- HDR (HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision).
- 6 integrated speakers, 360° Dolby Atmos sound.
- Choice of five colours (black, white, green, pink, blue).
- Voice control built in.
Sky Glass works over broadband, streaming all live channels and apps directly. You just plug it into the mains and Wi-Fi.
Deals (2025):
- Pay upfront (from £699) or spread the cost over 24–48 months.
- Combine with a Sky TV subscription from around £26/month.
- Works with Sky broadband or any other full fibre provider.
Pros:
- All-in-one: no box, no dish, no cables.
- Built-in soundbar means no need for extra kit.
- Looks like a premium smart TV.
Cons:
- Needs a fast, stable broadband connection (at least 30Mb recommended).
- Locked to Sky’s platform — you can’t use it as a free smart TV without Sky.
- Picture quality is good, but not the very best compared to high-end LG or Samsung OLEDs.
Customer service
Sky’s customer service is UK-based, available by phone, live chat, and app. Lines are open every day, including evenings.
- Average wait times: under 5 minutes (Ofcom 2025).
- Complaint levels: better than TalkTalk, worse than Plusnet.
- Satisfaction: 86% overall.
It’s reliable, though not the absolute best in the market.
