Gigaclear Fibre Broadband

Gigaclear offers full fibre FTTP (fibre to the premises) broadband service to homes and businesses in rural areas across the UK. Its service offers speeds up to 900 Mbps via their full-fibre network.

Gigaclear’s introductory deals are great, but they are not available in every place. In this review, we’ll weigh the good and bad of Gigaclear. We’ll also learn about speed, coverage, where you can get it, and customer support.

Pros

  • Gigaclear offers amazing speeds and competitive prices.
  • Gigaclear broadband speeds are symmetrical – the download and upload speeds are equal.
  • The provider also offers great customer service.

Cons

  • The major downside is that Gigaclear FTTP full fibre network only covers rural UK areas
  • The prices go up after the first contract.

Speeds

For those needing ultrafast internet in rural areas, Gigaclear could be a top choice. It offers speeds from 200Mbps to 900Mbps. With equal upload and download speeds, Gigaclear stands out from other broadband providers using FTTC (fibre to the cabinet) network.

Speeds are reliable and Gigaclear doesn’t slow down or cap data usage.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cost of Gigaclear full fibre broadband plans depends on the plan you choose. Prices range from £17 to £49 per month for plans, from Superfast 200 to Hyperfast 900, with an 18-month contract.

In the initial contract term, Gigaclear’s prices are very competitive. Gigaclear does offer a free router and free setup, which saves money. After the minimum contract term, prices are much higher. You can find these prices on Gigaclear’s website.

Comparison with Other Providers

Compared to other broadband providers, Gigaclear stands out for its ultrafast speeds and equal download and upload speeds. While some providers offer similar speeds, they often don’t provide symmetrical speeds or focus on rural areas like Gigaclear does. However, other providers may have wider coverage and more budget-friendly options after the initial contract period.

If Gigaclear isn’t available in your area or you’re looking for alternatives, consider providers like BT, Sky, or TalkTalk. They offer various broadband packages and have wider coverage.

Is Gigaclear broadband worth it?

Gigaclear is a great option for those in rural areas where it’s available. It offers cheap introductory prices, reliable and ultrafast internet speeds, and excellent customer support. However, the standard prices after the initial contract are not budget-friendly. If you’re considering Gigaclear, weigh the pros and cons and decide if it’s the right provider for your needs. Be prepared to switch to a more affordable package or provider if necessary, to suit your budget.

Home Phone
