Provider Details

TalkTalk, the second largest fixed broadband provider and home phone operator in UK, has more than 4.16 million customers. Three-fourths of the ISP’s customers are connected by its LLU (local loop unbundling) network and receive some key benefits like higher speeds, better service and discounts.

The ISP upgraded its speeds from 8Mbps to 24Mbps last year and has been testing fibre based (Fibre to the cabinet) broadband service in selected areas.

Talk Talk, has recently split from its parent company, Carphone Warehouse, a major mobile phone retalier in UK.

Now, TalkTalk is the total entity that represents AOL and former Tiscali broadband.

TalkTalk offers two broadband packages with a call plan.

Essentials comes with 24Mbps speed, 40GB monthly downloads, free wireless router and evening & weekend calls while, Talk Talk Plus offers unlimited, 24Mbps broadband with free wireless N router and any time calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles.

Talk Talk customers can also buy broadband boosts starting from £4 for their additional broadband or home phone usage.

TalkTalk offers free setup which is for limited time only while the line rental is extra.

    I have in june been with virgin broadband and any time phone deal calls, for 2 years, and my line rental with bt, which I would like to keep at the moment. Before this time I was a Tiscali customer, and to be honest I found there service very much wanting. would Talk Talk be supplying my broadband Bundle, or Tiscali.
